FAQ

What are Blanket Ladders?

The Farmhouse Blanket Ladder has 6 rungs made from solid wood, where you can hang your living room blankets or your bathroom towels, to save closet and floor space. This ladder leans nicely against your wall and does not have to be anchored.

What Are Blanket Ladders Used For?

Using a blanket ladder can be very useful as it uses up the vertical spaces in your home and frees up more floor space for other needs.

When using a blanket ladder, it can be for more than just blankets
  • You can hang baskets from them and use them for extra storage - for example, if you are using the ladder in your kitchen, you can hang a basket and store lemons or fruit as well as kitchen hand towels or even some kitchen utensils such as rolling pins and such
  • Add some twine in between and you can hang some photos using some clothespins
  • A basket on each rung can offer a great amount of storage for an office or living room
  • Use as a ladder on the front porch. You can style it for every season by adding a hello sign and adding wreaths during the holidays
  • Use in the bathroom to hang your towels. This will free up more closet space for other things
  • During the holidays you can use it as a stocking ladder and line up your stocking on each of the rungs

Can You Climb on a Blanket Ladders?

No, blanket ladders are used for decoration/storage purposes only and are not to be used in replace a home ladder.

Wood & Stains

Not sure what type of wood or stain is best for you?

At Primrose, we use high quality, solid, natural wood products for all of our handcrafted pieces.
As stain reacts to all wood differently, even the same piece of wood can take on different hues and tints, depending on the cut and grain of the individual piece. As such, variations in stain color are completely normal, especially on rip-cut or cross-cut sections of a product.

We also know that buying furniture online can seem daunting. That’s why we are please to offer our Primrose Promise and Warranty.

We promise that:

~ If your furniture isn’t built the color, size, or style that you ordered, we’ll fix! (see additional info on Handcrafted Solid Wood Furniture throughout our FAQ)

~ If your furniture arrives damaged, we’ll make it right! (see additional info on Delivery throughout our FAQ)

This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship and does not include damages to property or person caused by the misuse, improper installation, or lack of care of the item.

Care Instructions

Caring for Solid Wood:

Furniture pieces can be cleaned with a simple wipe with a soft, damp cloth, using mild dish detergent if necessary. We do not recommend abrasive cleaner or cleaning pads of any kind.

Décor pieces can be dusted/wiped with a clean, lightly damp cloth

Protecting Your Wood Furniture:

Furniture made of solid wood has many esthetic and performance related benefits, which need to be maintained with proper care. Solid wood furniture is an investment, we understand that and want to help you protect it. We recommend you:

Keep your Primrose piece(s) in a temperature-controlled environment, with the relative humidity at 35 percent to 45 percent.

We recommend the use of air conditioning as well as investing in a humidifier or dehumidifier to help manage the humidity in your region.

Do not place solid wood furniture directly in front of windows or in sunlight, heat or air conditioning vents, radiators or fireplaces.

Do not expose solid wood furniture to continuous direct sunlight.

Solid wood furniture does require some special care, but with it can come many years of enjoyment and use.
