Primrose began with a simple dream, to create a space that felt warm, thoughtful, and full of heart. What started as a little boutique where Karina curated and created local treasures slowly began to grow into something more.

As her love for design deepened, Jamie joined her in the workshop, turning Karina’s ideas into handcrafted solid wood pieces that carried meaning, pieces built to last and to be lived around. What began as small decor items soon grew into full heirloom furniture lines, dining tables, coffee tables, consoles, each one crafted with intention and care.

Over the years, that dream has grown into a team of talented artisans who share our same vision, to build furniture with purpose, patience, and pride. Every piece is touched by skilled hands that value quality over quickness, and heart over hurry.

Today, Primrose has found its home in the heart of Blackie, Alberta, where we’ve opened our very first official store, a dream come true. The doors are open Fridays 10–8 and Saturdays 12–5, and every piece inside tells part of our story, a story of family, faith, and the belief that a home should feel like a reflection of the people who fill it.

Her long-time dream became reality when they purchased a big white barn, a place where she can now dream even bigger. Together, she and Jamie are slowly bringing the barn to life, one faith step at a time, one window, one room at a time, creating a space that reflects their heart, vision, and deep belief in building something lasting and meaningful.

Jamie is the unstoppable force that keeps Primrose moving forward. Always full of ideas (and rarely caught sitting still), he approaches every challenge with energy and innovation. Those who know him often say he moves at a different pace — one fueled by vision and a deep passion for what’s possible.

Together, they’re raising five beautiful children, each of whom plays their own special role in the business. Whether it’s helping in the shop, lending a hand in the store, or cheering from the sidelines, each one is part of the Primrose story and loves being part of the vision.

Their dreams for the future continue to grow, from expanding their furniture lines to one day opening a coffee shop, pottery studio, and more within the Primrose space.
